Pick services in the quote builder, send photos, or call. We answer most weekday requests the same day.
Small jobs are quoted from photos. Bigger ones get a free walkthrough. Either way, the price is in writing before any work starts.
Pick a date that works for you. Most scheduled projects start within one to three weeks.
We walk the finished work with you, then send the invoice. Nothing is due before the work is done.
Why we publish our prices
Most handyman companies make you wait for an estimate visit before you hear a price. We would rather you know up front. Every service on this site shows what it costs. Before we start, you get a written quote, and that is the price you pay unless the job changes.
Labor, cleanup, and the one-year workmanship warranty. Where materials are extra, they are listed on your quote so you see the full price before you approve it.
The size of the job, the materials you choose, hard-to-reach work (second story, crawlspace), and the condition of what is already there. We tell you which one is moving the number.
If a flat-price job takes longer than we planned, that is on us, not you. Small odd jobs that are not in the list are billed at our published hourly or half-day rate instead.
A single small repair costs what the service costs. There is no minimum charge and no fee for coming out.

Yes. If we damage something while we are working, we fix it or cover it. A certificate of insurance is available on request before the job starts.

Do you charge by the hour? +
Most jobs are not. Each service on this site has a flat price, and bigger or custom jobs get a fixed quote in writing. Small odd jobs that are not in the list, like hanging pictures or mounting a TV, are billed at a published hourly rate, or you can book a half or full day to work through a list.
Is there a minimum charge or trip fee? +
No. You pay for the work, not for us showing up.
Who pays for materials? Can I supply my own? +
Where a service lists materials as extra, they are itemized on your quote before you approve it. Hourly and half-day visits use materials you supply. For other jobs, if you already have the part or want a specific product, we can usually install it. We decide case by case.
Can you do electrical or plumbing work? +
Yes, for fixture-level work like light fixtures, ceiling fans, faucets, toilets, and disposals. Anything that needs a licensed electrician or plumber, like new circuits or moving supply lines, we bring one in.
What size of job do you take on? +
Anything from a leaky faucet to a deck resurfacing. If a job needs a structural engineer or a general contractor, we tell you up front and refer you to one we trust.
How far out are you booked? +
Usually one to three weeks for a scheduled project. Same-week service calls when we have an opening. Emergencies (water, no heat, broken lock) get same-day or next-morning when possible.
When do I pay? +
When the job is done. We walk the finished work with you, then send the invoice. Card, ACH, or check, with no fees on any of them. For larger jobs we can set up a payment plan.
What does the one-year warranty cover? +
Workmanship: anything we built, installed, or repaired. If it fails within twelve months and we caused it, we come back and fix it at no charge. Materials are covered by the manufacturer warranty on top.
Do you clean up when you are done? +
Yes. We clean up the work area before we leave.
Do you work outside your service area? +
Sometimes. Call and ask. We cover a 35-mile radius from Fredericksburg as standard. Outside that, it depends on the job.
